At The Emiliani Project, every child’s story matters, and every sponsorship is a step toward healing, growth, and lifelong impact. Today, we invite you to meet Moises, a joyful and curious 4-year-old whose life is already being transformed with care, structure, and compassion. Your sponsorship can help provide the consistency and love Moises needs to thrive in this formative season of life.
The Power of Sponsorship in Early Childhood
Sponsoring a young child like Moises isn’t just about covering daily essentials. It’s about offering a stable, nurturing environment during the years when it matters most.
Your monthly gift helps provide:
- Nutritious meals and snacks
- Safe shelter and emotional care
- Early learning through structured play
- Family connection support and regular visits
- Mentorship from loving, trained caregivers
Early childhood is a critical window for development, and consistent support at this stage builds the emotional security and confidence children need to grow into healthy, purpose-filled adults.
Meet Moises
Jhonaikel Moises Farías Jimenez, affectionately known as Moises, was born on August 10, 2020, in Colombia. Though his life began with hardship, Moises radiates the energy and charm of a child who is learning to feel safe again.
Moises’ father passed away when he was an infant. His mother, originally from Venezuela, works long hours at a car wash to provide for her family. After she secured employment, she could no longer transport the children to school. Left in the care of his 10-year-old brother, and with occasional help from neighbors, Moises’ future was uncertain until The Emiliani Project stepped in to help in 2022.
Since joining the home, Moises has entered a new season of stability. While he’s not yet school-aged, he actively participates in recreational activities designed to instill values like kindness, sharing, and responsibility through guided play. His teachers lead him in creative, hands-on games that support emotional and social learning.
A Playful Heart, A Hopeful Path
Moises is known for his playful spirit. He loves playing with balls, building with toys, and sculpting with play-doh. He’s respectful, enjoys mealtimes, and is learning to express his emotions. Like many his age, he sometimes struggles when he doesn’t get the attention he wants.
Every two weeks, Moises and his brothers return home to visit their mother, a rhythm that helps maintain vital family bonds. Through these visits and the nurturing structure of the home, Moises is learning that he’s safe, cared for, and not alone.
Be Part of Moises’ Journey
Your sponsorship helps ensure Moises continues receiving the care, structure, and joy he needs to grow. It also tells him something powerful: that someone believes in his future.
By stepping in during these early years, you lay a foundation for a lifetime of impact.
