Seeking Volunteers to come to Colombia!

DSC_0216We Need Volunteers Like You to come Help!

Have you ever had a desire to break free of the routine and get out and do some good in the world?  Here’s your chance!  The Emiliani Project has scheduled our next volunteer trip to Colombia for December.  Emiliani Project staff will be in Medellin December 1st to 14th, 2014.  Volunteers will be able to come anytime during the two week period for orientation, but can stay as long or short as they like.

December is a special time in Colombia.  The entire city of Medellin will be adorned in lights and we will be putting on a Christmas party for the kids!  Join us to make this a Christmas season the kids won’t ever forget.

The trip will offer volunteers the ability to help with the construction of our new home as well as work directly with the kids we support.  No skills are required and you don’t have to speak Spanish.  You will have the opportunity to work on the construction site, teach classes for the children, help the administrators with operations of the home, or simply spend time with these great kids.

Buy Emiliani Project Coffee at the Grocery Store!

The Emiliani Project coffee is now available at two Frazier Farms Natural Grocery locations in Vista (225 Vista Village Drive) and Oceanside (1820 Oceanside Blvd), California.  Our Ximena, Giselle, and Gilberto roasts are all available in our new 12oz size – both ground and whole bean.  Swing by Frazier Farms and pick some up.  Or, make a request to your local grocery store to carry our coffee.  We are happy to come out and speak to store managers or owners about our great cause.

Look for us putting on coffee demonstrations at Frazier Farms to promote our coffee.  Our first demonstration will be July 23 at the Vista location.

Gilberto Dark Roast now Available Online

Our Gilberto dark roast is now available in our Online Store.  Our new roast features 10yr old Gilberto Elias Graciano.  Gilberto was abandoned by his father when he was born and later by his mother at the age of 7.  Two years ago his uncle brought Gilberto to live at the Hogar Bohio de Maria children’s home near Medellin, Colombia.  Gilberto is a great kid and this is a great coffee.
